Prototype Tooling

The use of prototype dies enables verification of part feasibility and complete BIW assembly in the early stages of product development.

Comau supplies both Prototype Dies and Soft Tools to meet customer requirements of panel availability in the early manufacturing stages.

Soft Tools are used for preliminary low volume production (up to 1000 pieces) with high geometrical quality output.

The use of Soft Tools enables a late die manufacturing launch, including all the engineering changes, by providing a large number of geometrically reliable parts.
